The new custom-built modded PS3 controller with rapid-fire, phantom buttons and jitter mod elevates gaming to a new level of control, a level of control which has been missing and is still missing in other PS3 handset controllers. The new rapid-fire PS3 controller, more commonly referred to as the Ragnarok, supports all nine-button layouts as used in Call of Duty Black Ops; however, as with all games designed for the PS3, all standard-button layouts can be utilized as well as being entirely customizable.
Rapid-fire and crouch-down facility is available merely by touching two buttons on the new PS3 modded controller; the new PS3 handset controller is totally fluid and can be set up to suit your particular gaming style and mode of operation, rather than having to adapt what would be a more natural style to a fixed set of switches, triggers, joysticks, and buttons.
The new modded PS3 controller is called Ragnarok for several reasons: the word Ragnarok indicates a forthcoming series of future events, not necessarily connected, which include a great battle. The Norse legend foretells the coming of the deaths of a significant number of major figures, including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdallr, and Loki.
It also foretells of the impending future where various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the earth in water, bring about the end of the world — quite apt for gamers the world over playing shoot-em-up and beat-em-up games on the Playstation 3. The legend then goes on to predict the world will be reborn and repopulated by two people, so perhaps the legend is prophetic of the actions of gamers everywhere — destroying the virtual world in which they are immersed, and coming out at the other end after the hell of battle to face a brave new worldâ
